Resilient Catchments Register

Help Shape Restoration Efforts Across Mackay Whitsunday Isaac

Share your knowledge. Register your idea. Shape the future of our land, sea, and waterways.

The Resilient Catchments Register is an interactive online platform where community members including landholders, Traditional Owners and local residents can submit ideas for natural resource management (NRM) projects across the Mackay Whitsunday Isaac region.

Whether your idea involves riparian restoration, erosion control, coastal rehabilitation or biodiversity protection, your input helps guide future environmental efforts and unlock opportunities for collaboration and funding.

What Is the Resilient Catchments Register?

This Resilient Catchments Register is a community-driven initiative that captures potential NRM activities from those who know the landscape best. It’s designed to:

  • Empower local voices in environmental planning
  • Connect ideas with funding opportunities
  • Support nature-based solutions for climate resilience

While Reef Catchments may not be able to directly fund every submission, we work with a broad network of partners – including local councils, industry groups, government agencies and community organisations – who may use the register to identify and support priority initiatives.

Submit Your Ideas for a Healthier Region

To contribute, simply click the button below to open our Survey123 form, where you can share your local knowledge, restoration ideas, or NRM project concepts. Your submission will be added to the Resilient Catchments Register and may help guide future environmental efforts across our region.

By contributing, you can help:

  • Improve the health of our local environment, including soils, waterways, coasts and the Great Barrier Reef
  • Support climate adaptation and disaster resilience
  • Guide future NRM investment and planning
  • Strengthen community-led environmental stewardship

Please note: information provided in the register is confidential and will only be shared with project partners with consent.
