As the Senior Project Officer, Liana is responsible for delivery of key projects within the Waterways department to improve water quality across the region. Her focus includes the management of riparian repair project efforts, stakeholder engagement and environmental monitoring programs across various sites in the region.
Liana has a Bachelor of Natural Resource Management and a Bachelor of Urban Regional Planning. With a passion for the GBR, her thesis involved reviewing the terrestrial fauna biodiversity across the Whitsunday islands Archipelago.
Her extensive technical background involved managing scientific research projects in the QLD agricultural sector- for improved production and environmental outcomes. Liana has also worked closely with both local farmers and national corporations for larger commercial business development projects.
