Maree Franettovich

Growing up on the family sugarcane farm outside of Sarina, Maree has a longstanding interest in supporting and enhancing our agricultural sector – with a specific focus on improving resource management practices. Having worked on a wide range of resource management projects with various industry groups throughout her career, she believes that stewardship of our industry sectors and natural resources is best approached by looking to engage directly and balance the needs of stakeholders.

Maree holds a Bachelor of Business, with a major in management and human resources, and postgraduate qualifications in general management. She is currently on the board of Sarina and District Community Financial Services Limited, including the Deputy Chair, Company Secretary and Business and Community Engagement Committee Chair positions. Maree is also a Director of Connect Housing Group Mackay, committee member of Regional Development Australia Greater Whitsundays and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Australian Institute of Managers and Leaders, and Queensland Rural, Regional and Remote Women’s Network. She is a certified governance professional and accredited trainer, and has been involved in providing professional business advisory services for over twenty years across diverse industries, with a focus both personally and professionally on building capacity within regions.
