As a project officer with the Conservation and Communities team, Kellie’s work is largely dedicated to restoring fish habitat in freshwater and marine ecosystems, and supporting community initiatives that protect and enhance the values of the Great Barrier Reef catchment. As a local to the Mackay region, Kellie is proud to contribute towards the management and enhancement of our natural environments. 

Kellie recently completed her Masters in Environmental Management with James Cook University, having previously completed her Bachelor of Environmental Practice majoring in Land and Water Management.  Kellie has experience working at an environmental consultancy firm in Townsville and has worked within the Water and Waterways team at Reef Catchments in the past.
