Carlos Bueno

Carlos holds a Bachelor of Science majoring in Forestry and Horticulture from Griffith University. Before joining Reef Catchments, Carlos worked as a Landcare officer for Whitsunday Landcare Catchment.

As a senior project officer, Carlos works on a diverse range of projects including: TNQ Drought Hub Resilience Officer – liaising with many stakeholders including farmers, traditional owners, communities, researchers and business to co-design approaches and solutions for drought resilience in Tropical North Queensland.

He also works with the Reef Trust – Coastal Priorities project improving land management practices along the Sandringham Wetland Complex, improving ecosystem services, and fish connectivity throughout the MWI region.Additionally, Carlos provides management support to the end of catchment loads monitoring program in partnership with the Water Quality and Investigations at the Department of Environment and Science.
