Carla is a Mackay local who has worked in the environmental and natural resource sector since 2006 in both consulting and project delivery roles. She has considerable experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, and has worked closely with Traditional Owners on cultural heritage surveys in Central Queensland. Prior to joining the Reef Catchments team, Carla was the Coordinator for Pioneer Catchment & Landcare Group.
Carla holds a Bachelor of Environmental Science, majoring in land management, through CQ University. Her passion lies in native flora and land restoration practices. As coordinator of the Waterways team, Carla oversees the delivery of projects to improve water quality across the region, including the implementation of waterway recovery and systems repair projects and coordinating riparian revegetation efforts.
