Reef Trust IV – stream bank erosion control program

Reef Catchments has been awarded funding through the Australian Government Reef Trust IV - Gully and Stream Bank Erosion Control Program to undertake erosion management works within five high priority sub-catchments.

Support is available for landholders to reduce erosion of riparian areas.

Reef Catchments has been awarded funding through the Australian Government Reef Trust IV – Gully and Stream Bank Erosion Control Program to undertake erosion management works within five high priority sub-catchments.

These sub-catchments include

  • Andromache River
  • Murray Creek
  • O’Connell River
  • St Helens Creek
  • Upper Cattle Creek

Eligible activities

  • Riparian fencing and off stream watering points
  • Riparian revegetation and riparian vegetation management
  • Stream Bank Stabilisation
  • Erosion management planning

Interested landholders in eligible sub-catchments are encouraged to contact us to lodge an expression of interest.

A Project Officer will contact you to discuss Reef Trust IV requirements and expectations, then a Reef Catchments staff member will visit the site to develop a technical site plan including monitoring and evaluation of the project over time. Successful projects will be contracted to undertake approved works

This program is delivered by Reef Catchments, through funding and support from the Australian Government.
