Reef Catchments has worked with the Mackay Whitsunday Isaac community to develop a Community Action Plan for the protection of the Great Barrier Reef.

Bar-tailed godwitsYou can read all about it here, in this Story journal which covers, in colourful detail, the work undertaken to develop the action plan.

Reef Catchments worked with a range of stakeholders to identify what was important to the community, and to map out potential projects. We look forward to working with the community to implement these projects, and we encourage you to read more about them in the Project Prospectus document.

Mark the date in your diary!

Everyone is welcome to attend the launch of the Community Action Plan at Mulherin Park on Sunday 11 April 2021 – please RSVP here. The morning has been planned as a community event and includes a variety of happenings. There will be an 8.30 a.m. start with a SeaToSource cleanup, then the launch at 10 a.m. followed by fun for all with local stalls on hand to supply a variety of food and goods.
