Gillian Barbat

Gilly has valuable skills enabling her to coordinate a variety of projects in the work environment gained through experiences in education, hospitality, corporate project coordination and Business improvement and agritourism development. With a variety of learning and competencies developed both professionally and personally she is excited to join the RALF team to support landholders in their goals of adopting sustainable agricultural practices and outcomes.

Her passion for NRM was conceived during her childhood and has continued to grow throughout her life, leading her to investigate and obtain professional opportunities to share this with wider community. Having previously worked with the Greater Whitsunday Food Network, she is excited to continue connections, networks and values realisation while delivering events, training, and other projects to support sustainable agriculture, NRM and business improvements for stakeholders.

The RALF role will offer Gilly opportunities to further engage her sense of purpose and values and as she focuses on continuing relationships developed by Julia Kasiske, with local, regional, and national communities by working collaboratively to support, conserve and enhance the planet’s resources.
