Emily Barber

As part of the Waterways team with Reef Catchments, Emily uses her knowledge in geomorphology and surface water processes to implement various projects in stream and river management. For the five years prior to joining Reef Catchments, Emily worked in the environmental consulting space, primarily as a hydrogeologist. She has been involved in large scale mining and infrastructure projects spanning from the Snowy Mountains, NSW to Brisbane city.

Emily holds a Bachelor of International Science (Hons), majoring in Physical Geography and Geology from the University of Wollongong, NSW. Her passion resides in sustainable management of surface and ground water resources, as well as river health and rehabilitation.
