Wildlife Spotting: Night Walk and Workshop

Pioneer Catchment & Landcare and the Mackay Regional Botanic Gardens invites you to come along to our wildlife spotlighting workshop at the Botanic Gardens.

Spotlighting is one of the best ways to see our wonderful native wildlife, and is a widely used
technique for professional fauna surveying and research.

The event will start from the meeting room at the Mackay Regional Botanic Gardens at 7 pm. on March 2.

What to bring? You need to bring your own torch (either handheld or head-torch), which is bright enough to shine at least 80m and you are comfortable to hold up to your eye level for long periods. You must wear closed in shoes for your own safety. If you do not own a torch you can still come but you will not be able to actively participate in spotlighting.

As spaces are limited, it is vital to book. Cost is an $8 booking fee or, for a family of four, (two adults and two children) it is $25. BOOK HERE
