Registrations open! but close on 1 March!
Growers and graziers, and representatives from industry, government, and local organisations are invited to join us for the Mackay Whitsunday session of the Reginal Integrated Science Forum on 7 March.
Presenters will speak on a variety of subjects including regional water quality, pollutants in local waterways, and proposed reef regulations for cane that will impact on landholders, and in addition you will hear about innovative practices that can improve water quality.
There will be an overview of both the Paddock to Reef program, and the water quality report cards which influence Mackay and the Whitsundays. Haven’t heard of Paddock to Reef? This important program is provided by the Australian and Queensland governments to help evaluate and report outcomes from the Reef 2050 Water Quality Improvement Plan, and to track our region’s
progress toward nutrient, sediment, and pesticide targets.
The event will be held on Thursday, 7 March from 8.30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Mackay Surf Club at Harbour Beach. REGISTER HERE
This event is facilitated by Reef Catchments, through funding from the Queensland Government
and the Australian Government.
