Sophie grew up on a cattle property near Goondiwindi where the family business involves breeding, fattening and processing of branded beef through their family owned abattoir.
She completed a Bachelor of Business Management through UQ, St Lucia and a Master of Agriculture through UNE, Armidale.
Sophie has worked in State Government as an HR Consultant. She was the Livestock Health Supervisor at Grassdale Feedlot, Dalby ensuring 50,000 head of cattle were happy and healthy. Most recently she managed marketing and distribution for the family branded beef business where she helped to develop new markets by offering carton beef as an alternative product to whole carcass beef.
