Carbon Neutral Float in Whitsunday Reef Festival Parade

Staff and supporters dressed up as their favourite marine creatures for the annual street parade in Airlie Beach, flying the flag for Reef Catchments to connect with the community through our shared love of the reef. A turtle, shark, Julia’s artists impression of Landcare and Stef’s outfit made entirely of marine debris, entertained the crowds representing the face of Natural Resource Management in a carbon neutral float. We were joined by special guests, Juru Traditional Owners Sue West and Fiona representing the Traditional Owners Reference Group.
